To fully resolve this issue after updating the vCenter Server, add theprovisioning.relocate.enableRename
advanced parameter to vCenter Server and set its value totrue

- Log into the vSphere Client as an Administrator.
- ClickAdministration>vCenter Server Settings.
- ClickAdvanced Settings.
- Add this advanced parameter Key:
provisioning.relocate.enableRename
- Set the value to:
true
- ClickOK.
- Restart the VMware VirtualCenter Server service for the changes to take effect. For more information, seeStopping, starting, or restarting vCenter services (1003895).
