How to configure VMware DHCP server correctly, to avoid IP address collosion?

Hi!

I have multiple VMware machines. One of them is a Windows Server 2012 and there are some Windows XP and Windows 7 clients. The Windows Server is a DHCP server too. I want to configure my machines in the following way:

- My machines should be able to reach the host shares c$, d$...etc.

- My machines should get their IP from the Virtual Windows Server, which should also be able to reach the host shares.

Earlier i configured the machines, and everything was working fine. Unfortunately, when i tested it, my host machine wasn't connected to any network. When i connected my host to my home network, i had problems. The Virtual Clients couldn't reach the Windows Server or, my host. As far as i know this was because, when i connected my host to my home network, it received an IP from the router, and there was an IP collosion. The Server and my clients had two network adapters. One for reaching the host, and one to communicate with the server.

So what did i wrong?

No i have the host reinstalled and i want to configure it correctly. The question is how? Could someone please help me?

Thanks!
