This error often shows up during installation if you look hard enough - it's not the reaoson your install is failing. You definitely shouldn't need to make partitions yourself.
The N40L is not on the HCL, and unless you upgraded the RAID card yourself, it won't have any supported storage either. Unfortunately this looks like more of a hardware support issue.
