Having problem in VMWare workstation 8 using Bridged Network option

I have installed VMware workstation 8 onto my laptop having windows 7 professional OS. While using the NAT option for network adapter setting in VMware it works perfectly fine, but when I change the setting from NAT to bridged it doesn't work. It doesn't give IP Address after changing the setting to bridged.

Could someone let me know, what do I need to do for the same ???
