We are about to acquire a decent piece of kit that I plan on having in a separate location as a VMware host for DR
We currently have 3 production hosts with Veeam backup and replication in place.
I want to use this new host as our DR backup host in case of absolute wipeout of existing hosts. My question is regarding licensing. I know I can install a fresh ESX for 60 days on this DR box and run testing bringing the VEEAM backups online onto this host by revoking a Veeam license etc.
If I came back to the scenario in say 3-4 months time could I rebuild the ESX host and apply a new license for 60 days? I guess I am trying to put a BCP plan in place without having to purchase etc licences.
Any thoughts?
